Judge Sumner Canary served on the Ohio Court of Appeals for the Eighth District and as U.S. 365bet体育在线世界杯torney for the Northern District of Ohio. He was also a partner at the firms of Canary & Walsh and Arter & Hadden. A generous gift from Judge Canary鈥檚 widow, Nancy Canary, established the Sumner Canary Memorial Lecture at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, which has featured federal judges, scholars, academics and six U.S. Supreme Court Justices.
