The Solar Eclipse 2024 celebrations inspired the repertoire for this performance.
The Baroque Orchestra and Early Music Singers join vocalists from the Historical Performance Program (CWRU) and the Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM) to present excerpts from G.F. Handel鈥檚 Messiah. In honor of the day鈥檚 earlier eclipse, excerpts focus on the Messiah鈥檚 death and resurrection and will include 鈥淭he People That Walk in Darkness,鈥� 鈥淩ejoice greatly鈥� and the 鈥淗allelujah鈥� Chorus.
