The Biochemistry Department would like to remember Zhuangfei “Alex� Yang, one of our undergraduate students who would have graduated this semester. Alex, a native of Bangbu, Anhui Province, China, left a strong impression on both students and faculty. “He had a free soul and loved music,� remembers student Zoe Liu. “I enjoyed talking to him because he inspired me from different perspectives.� Alex’s advisor Dr. Nelson Phillips recalls him as “a very bright and perceptive student� and spoke for all of us when he shared that “It is indeed with a heavy heart that one says a final farewell to one so young and with so much potential.�
