About the Program

Advance your knowledge in one of the broadest engineering disciplines in our dual Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in the Mechanical Engineering program at Case Western Reserve University鈥檚 .

In our program, you'll learn how next-generation engineering and high-tech manufacturing plants use the power of machines to help accomplish tasks safer and more efficiently. Our program can open many career doors, from those in advanced manufacturing and robotics to ones involving medical devices and nanotechnology.

What to Expect

Save time pursuing your bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 degree in our integrated program鈥攜ou can complete both in just five years if studying full time. When you鈥檙e admitted to our program around your senior year, you may take up to nine credit hours of graduate courses that count toward both degree requirements

In our program, you鈥檒l enhance your knowledge of fundamental mechanical engineering principles鈥攕uch as fluid and thermal sciences, kinetics and dynamics鈥攚hile exploring how they converge with physical and data science. Thanks to this multidisciplinary approach, you鈥檒l gain an advanced perspective on how to tackle some of the the world鈥檚 most complex challenges in spaces such as the emerging fields of cyber-physical systems, the Industrial Internet of Things, digital and sustainable manufacturing and more. And, you鈥檒l be able to select a specialized track, such as biomechanics, dynamics, control and manufacturing, or fluid and thermal sciences.
