Are you an innovative and resourceful leader interested in making your mark in the nonprofit world? A certificate from the nationally renowned Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University can help get you there.

Our Certificate in Nonprofit Management is designed to prepare you for nonprofit leadership, whether you pursue it in conjunction with a Master of Social Work degree or as a stand-alone credential. You can earn this certificate in one semester of full-time coursework or part time over 3 semesters, allowing you to quickly build the credentials you need to move ahead in your career.

What to Expect

Whether you have a passion for financial management or giving back to your community, our curriculum will help you hone your skills to better navigate the unique sector of the nonprofit world. The Mandel School has a 100-year history of excellence, with a 30-year record specifically in nonprofit management—and this certificate program is evidence of such. Coursework is drawn from the Master of Nonprofit Organizations program, one of 12 graduate programs accredited by the Nonprofit Academic Centers Council.

Earning this certificate is an excellent way to break into social work without committing to earning a master’s degree. We recognize that nonprofit leaders need specialized training to successfully advance nonprofit and non-governmental organizations. To be accepted to the Certificate in Nonprofit Management program, you must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Coursework earned toward your certificate may also lead to completion of the Master of Nonprofit Organizations (MNO) curriculum.
