I am a physician-scientist and board-certified pediatric hematologist/oncologist interested in the clinical care and research of germline disorders with predisposition to malignancies and bone marrow failure (BMF). My current research program investigates two major principals underlying genomic stability- DNA repair and telomere biology. Synergistic to these research endeavors, I care for patients with BMF and DNA repair disorders at Cleveland Clinic Children鈥檚 Institute and provide consultations for patients with ataxia telangiectasia and cancer through the 365bet体育在线世界杯axia Telangiectasia Clinical Center at Johns Hopkins. My long-term goal is to investigate the molecular mechanisms governing genome stability and to comprehensively elucidate how these processes go awry in germline disorders that predispose to BMF and malignancy. Ultimately, the work aims to identify critical pathways and targets amenable to therapeutic intervention to improve clinical outcomes.
