Roommate information
Once you complete your housing application, you can search for a roommate through our online room selection link on . You can search for roommates by name, network ID, lifestyle characteristics, or through suggestions based on your lifestyle characteristics.
Create a group and then invite your roommate to your group. They will have the choice to accept or deny the invitation. Once your group is complete, you can submit your group for the room selection process. Only the group leader is able to go online to choose the room. Please make sure you discuss your building and room preferences with your roommate ahead of time!
Remember, it is not necessary to have a roommate to choose a room online.
Room selection process
You will receive a randomly generated time slot the week of June 9 that identifies which day/time you will choose your room online. During your 10-minute timeslot, there will be up to 35 students choosing rooms at the same time. This will give you time to search through the various room options.
If you formed a group with a roommate, you both will have the same timeslot. You can change the group leader on , under Room Selection, to allow your roommate to be the group leader. Roommate groups must be submitted 48 hours before your room selection timeslot (see dates below). If you do not choose a room during your identified timeslot, we will assign you to a room after the process is over.
