Professor Emerita
Kathleen Wells, professor emerita, taught advanced adult development and dysfunction in the MSSA program, as well as doctoral courses in qualitative research methods. Her scholarly interests include child welfare, child mental health, research design and both qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
Wells is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Society for Social Work and Research, the American Association of University Professors and the American Psychological Association. She has served on national research committees, including the Scientific Advisory Committee and Task Force on Developing Funding for Mental Health Research in Social Work through the Institute for the Advancement of Social Work Research, and the National Council on Research in Child Welfare.
Wells' editorial work includes ongoing roles with Children and Youth Services Review and Social Services Review, as well as past services as a contributing editor for The American Journal of Orthopsychiatry.
