For the fifth year in a row, PreLaw Magazine ranked CWRU School of Law as having one of the top Business Law programs in the nation, with an “Aâ€� grade in its fall 2022 issue.   

The fall 2022 issue of PreLaw Magazine ranked CWRU’s Criminal Law program among the best in the country with an “A� ranking. “This has been an exciting year for our criminal law program,� said Co-Dean Michael Scharf, an expert in international criminal law.

On Oct. 30, the federal judge overseeing Cleveland police reform under a consent decree appointed CWRU School of Law Associate Professor Ayesha Bell Hardaway as new interim monitor to handle day-to-day management of the process. 

On Nov. 8, Co-Dean Michael Scharf was honored at Denver University School of Law, which bestowed on him the annual Cox Price International Human Rights Award.

On Oct. 7th Professor Jessie Hill and her team won a temporary but important victory in their battle to end Ohio’s ban on abortions after six weeks of pregnancy. Hamilton County Common Pleas Judge Christian Jenkins granted a preliminary injunction against Ohio’s abortion ban.
