New Library Services Platform will Go Live June 23!
What you need to know!
Updated: 6/18/2025
Beginning June 23, explore a modernized search platform designed to make discovering and accessing library resources more streamlined!
The academic library consortium, which includes CWRU, has transitioned to a new library services platform (LSP). The search interface for all libraries will feature a modernized interface with an enhanced user experience to improve search and discovery of library resources.
As we complete this transition, your library services remain uninterrupted, although you may still experience slight delays for some requests. Most electronic resources are available to CWRU students, faculty, and staff, though access to some publishers鈥 materials may be delayed as we work to bring everything online.
On this page, we鈥檝e outlined what can be expected from the new platform, including tutorials, the , and important contacts for support.
How do I get help?
For any questions or concerns, please don鈥檛 hesitate to reach out to your Research & Engagement Librarian, ASKSL, or contact your school library below:

What are the benefits to me?
Find what you need efficiently
- The new all-in-one search portal brings together everything in one place: books, articles, media, and more. With an intuitive interface and modern design, you鈥檒l spend less time searching and more time discovering.
- Now, your search results can include items from Digital Case, University Archives, and CWRU Special Collections, helping you uncover even more valuable resources.
Access what you need reliably
- Access to full text will be much more reliable and robust.
- Open Access and Open Educational Resources (OER) content will be more discoverable, helping you connect with free academic materials without barriers.
- The new platform features a responsive interface for mobile devices, so the library is always accessible wherever you are.
Request what you need seamlessly
- Whether it鈥檚 print or electronic, borrowing through OhioLINK and InterLibrary Loan has just become significantly streamlined. More often, request a resource directly from the item page without extra clicks or logins.
What has stayed the same?
Research & Engagement Librarians (RELs) and Service Desk staff will continue to help you navigate library resources and services, find specific items and information, develop search strategies, and support your research and teaching. .
The collection itself is not changing. You will still have access to the same books and electronic resources as before. Users will just have new and more intuitive ways to search across electronic and print collections.
What has changed?
While the search interface will visibly look different, most changes are happening behind the scenes. Once the transition is completed, your experience will be more streamlined, making it easier to connect to resources. .
365bet体育在线世界杯 this time during the period of transition, CWRU and Cleveland Institute of Art (CIA) libraries are unable to loan directly to each other's users.
Look forward to more upcoming features...
- Digital Case, our repository of digitized collections featuring materials from Special Collections & Archives, will be coming online as part of this system on July 11 and will be fully integrated into your search and discovery experience.
