OhioLINK and SearchOhio

OhioLINK Services Have Resumed

We're excited to share that OhioLINK services resumed as of June 25 through our new library system.

SearchOhio services are expected to return in Fall 2025.

For more information about the new library service platform, please visit our LSP Migration Need-To-Know article.

and SearchOhio are statewide library networks that allow patrons to request items not available at Kelvin Smith LibraryRequested materials can be delivered to KSL for convenient pickup.

When an item is ready for pickup, the requestor will receive an automated email notification. Items can be picked up from the first floor holds shelf and checked out at the Service Center Desk or using the self-checkout kiosk.

Case Western Reserve University patrons can request items by logging into the catalog using their CWRU Network ID and passphrase through the university's Single Sign-On system.

If an item is not available through KSL, OhioLINK, or SearchOhio, CWRU affiliates may request it through Interlibrary Loan. Learn more about Interlibrary Loan services.

Patrons from OhioLINK and SearchOhio member institutions may also borrow items directly from CWRU. For example, a Kent State University patron can check out books from KSL, just as a CWRU patron can borrow materials from John Carroll University.
